Principal's Message

Central Point Elementary Families,

It is an honor to serve you and the CPE staff as principal. A Boise, Idaho native, I moved to Oregon after high school to pursue my degrees in language arts and education while playing collegiate volleyball and tennis.  After teaching high school English and serving as a head volleyball coach for 11 years, I pursued my administrative certification and became a principal during the first year in my admin program. 

I served as the director of Eagle Ridge Charter High School in Klamath Falls for seven years and as the principal of Crater School of Business, Innovation and Science for nine years prior to working for CPE.  

I have two strong-willed, intelligent and powerful daughters who keep me busy every day when I’m not at work.  They are the balance and the joy in my life! 

Serving as principal for CPE is nothing short of a gift.  I love coming to school every day to work with your young students and to help them grow using kindness, warmth and cooperation as the primary tools for their success. 

I genuinely believe in the work our teachers and support staff do each day to better the lives of your kiddos and our communities.  The saying, “It takes a village,” is often understated.  It takes an inclusive world to prepare our kids for their futures in an endless environment of technology and pressures to measure up to others when what we should be teaching our kids is to find their own super powers, because each student is a gift, and each has something to offer the world.  When we can help kids find their gifts, we can help them grow into whoever they want to be with the tools to pursue their own passions uninhibited by negative social pressures.
